Is Wolverine in Avengers: Doomsday?
Is Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) in Avengers: Doomsday? Jackman wasn't in the announced cast, but with the X-Men involved and the multiverse open, here's the real likelihood.
Officially, Hugh Jackman is not on the Doomsday cast list. Unofficially? This movie is practically laying out a welcome mat for him.
Every arrow points the same way
Consider what’s already confirmed or heavily rumoured to be in this film:
- A whole mutant universe worth of X-Men crossing over (the confirmed roster).
- A Deadpool Suit logged among the film’s props, and a retracted-then-murky report about Ryan Reynolds (the Deadpool situation).
Wolverine and Deadpool are a package deal - their 2024 team-up film literally sent a variant-hopping Logan bouncing across the multiverse. If Deadpool is anywhere near this movie, Wolverine is the most natural plus-one in comics.
Why it’s still not a lock
- “Never again” keeps almost being true. Jackman swore off the claws for years before Deadpool & Wolverine pulled him back. Marvel may be saving the reunion rather than spending it here.
- No name, no confirmation. He wasn’t announced, full stop.
- The film is already overflowing. With this many heroes fighting for minutes, not every fan-favourite fits.
Where it lands
Of every unconfirmed cameo, Wolverine has some of the strongest circumstantial backing - the mutants are here, Deadpool’s shadow is here, and the multiverse gives him a free pass. But circumstantial isn’t confirmed. Treat the “Logan is 100% in” posts as hope, not news, until somebody pops the claws on screen.
