For twenty years, two movie universes stood on opposite sides of a wall. On one side, the Avengers. On the other, Fox’s X-Men. Avengers: Doomsday is where that wall finally comes down - and the answer to “are the X-Men in it?” is a loud, confirmed yes.
The roster is a nostalgia bomb
This isn’t a token mutant or two. Marvel brought back the faces fans grew up with:

They’re crashing in from another world
Here’s the clever part: they don’t have to “already exist” in the MCU. The film establishes a separate mutant universe - complete with its own X-Mansion out in North Salem - that gets thrown into the multiversal pile-up. The X-Men arrive as refugees from a colliding reality, not retconned locals.
Watch for a sly twist, too: reporting has Florence Pugh’s Yelena tangled up with Mystique, hinting at a shapeshifter hiding in plain sight. Classic X-Men paranoia, dropped into an Avengers film.
The catch
Confirmed presence isn’t confirmed survival. Heroes visiting from a doomed universe are exactly the ones a saga-ending crossover tends to sacrifice - so enjoy them, but brace yourself (who dies in Doomsday).
