Who and what is in it
Is the Fantastic Four in Avengers: Doomsday?
Is the Fantastic Four in Avengers: Doomsday? Yes - Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn are confirmed. Here's how Marvel's First Family factors into the Doom story.

Yes - the full Fantastic Four are confirmed, and they’re not guests. They may be the reason the whole thing happens.
Fresh off The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the entire First Family crosses over from their own retro reality (Earth-828), Baxter Building and all:
- Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic
- Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman
- Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch
- Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing
Why the FF are the beating heart of a Doom movie
Here’s what casual viewers miss: Doctor Doom’s entire life is a grudge against Reed Richards. In the comics they’re university rivals turned mortal enemies - Doom’s whole identity is built on proving he’s the smarter man. You literally cannot do a definitive Doom story without the Fantastic Four in the room. So when Marvel put Doom at the centre of its finale, the FF weren’t optional - they were mandatory.
Expect Reed vs. Doom to be a spine of the film (who Doom is in the comics).
The wildcard: a Richards child
Marvel has also quietly slotted in Franklin Richards - Reed and Sue’s son, and in the comics one of the most powerful reality-warpers who has ever existed. If a saga about the multiverse breaking and being rebuilt needs a cosmic reset button, the FF may have brought one to the fight. We unpack that on the Franklin Richards reboot theory.
Where it lands: confirmed, central, and quite possibly the family that decides how the whole Multiverse Saga ends. What we don’t yet know is who among them walks away.
