Galactus made a thunderous MCU debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, so it’s fair to ask if the world-eater is lurking in Doomsday. The honest read: probably not - this is Doom’s movie, not his.

The case against a Galactus role

The biggest tell is who Doomsday is built around. Marvel has one “existential threat” slot and it’s filled by Doctor Doom - the villain of both this film and Secret Wars. Stacking a second god-tier cosmic being on top would split the spotlight the studio has spent two years pointing at Downey. And Galactus wasn’t among the names on the (very long) announced cast.

There’s also no need. Galactus just anchored his own film; Marvel rarely re-deploys a heavyweight that fast.

The sliver that keeps the door open

Here’s the twist: the Fantastic Four’s home reality, Earth-828, is part of this movie - it’s one of the universes getting dragged into the collision. That’s the world where Galactus already exists. So while a full role is unlikely, a glimpse - the devourer feeding on a dying universe as reality frays - would be a jaw-dropping way to sell the scale of the incursions.

And in the comics, cosmic god-beings feed directly into Secret Wars (the story explained). If Galactus matters to this two-film arc, the finale is his more natural stage.

Where it lands: don’t expect Galactus to throw down with Doom in Doomsday. A cameo-scale nod is the ceiling here - save your cosmic-dread expectations for Secret Wars.
